AUGUSTUS FUNERAL HOME ANNOUNCES A CELEBRATION OF LIFE FOR SHIRLEY LORRAINE WINIFRED SIMONS, daughter of the late Stuart and Dorothy Simons , loving spouse of Raymond Ellsworth Simons, devoted mother of Shawnette Simons-Smith and Owen (Desirae) Simons, and adored grandmother of Trey, Naesaire, Trinitae Simons and Austin Smith, in her 89th year, of #27 Fork Lane Southampton SN04, on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 3pm at Southampton Seventh-day Adventist Church, 228 Middle Road Southampton SN04. Visitation will be at Augustus Funeral Home on Wednesday August 5th, from 6:30 p.m – 8:00 p.m. and at the Southampton Church on Thursday, August 6th from 2:00 p.m. – 2:50 p.m. Interment to follow at St. Anne’s Church, 13 Church Road, Southampton. She leaves to cherish her memories Sisters: Marlene Somner, Claudette (Robert) Jones, Paulette Smith, and Velvet Stevens; brother Wilbur (Glenda) Simons; sisters-in-laws: Betty Simons-Bean, Ethel Dickinson, Patricia Simons, Pearl and Olive Brown;  brothers-in-laws: Vincent Simons, Harrison Simons, Earlston Brown; Godchildren: Kae Lorranda Howard, Melissa Davis,  Richee Paschal, Timothy Taylor and Daniel Rogers;  Special Friends: Southampton Seventh-day Adventist Church, The Rookies, Michael and Gayle Taylor, Juliette Bean, Edith Darrell and Family, Caregivers: Rhonda and Rhonda-Lynn Tacklyn; Special Sons: Marvin(Cacia) Pitcher, Jamal (Tracey) Salaam;nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends, too numerous to mention. Lorraine was predeceased by brothers: Hammond, Sinclair, Kingsley Sr., Earlston, Horace, Gerald and Leroy “Bop” Simons; sisters: Berniece Pearson, Ruth Simons, Vernice DeRoza, Lois Simons, Brenda Simons, Edith Wilkinson, Isabelle Simons, Cynthia Brangman:  brothers-in-law Clayton DeRoza, Marvin Simons, Norbert Pearson, Theophilus Wilson, Cyril Smith, Earl Wilkinson, Leroy Somner, Kenneth Simons, Gladstone ‘Peter” Simons, Clifton Simons, and Leonard Brown; sisters-in-laws: Joan Simons, Margaret Simons, Brenda Simons, Dorothea Simons and Marjorie Simons.
