A Homegoing service for Ruth Virginia Skinner, wife of the late John (Johnny) Skinner, daughter of the late Winton and Gloria Whited, mother to Tina Smith, sister to the late Gloria Jean Davies, Jane McCosker (Ian Head), Catherine Pereira (Fernando), the late Charles Whited Sr. and Ray Whited,cherished grandmother to Joseph Butterfield (Kimesha) and Leaah Butterfield, in her 83rd year of 8 Sound View Drive, Sandys, will be held at The Open Door Christian Assembly Church, St. David’s on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be held at The Open Door Christian Assembly Church, St. David’s on Saturday, October 10, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. to 12:50 p.m. Interment to follow at The Wesley Methodist Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Pembroke. Lovingly survived by great-grandchildren: Tajah, Josi, A’maiah Butterfield, Kemoni, Kemareah Clarke, Haile Burrows, Curtis Mallory; great-great grandchild: Daza’ya Mallory; nieces: Stephanie Smith, Jada Melville, Megan Getawan, Filicity Finlay; nephews: Charles Jr., Craig, the late Jason (JBird) Whited, Joshua Pereira; friends: Joan (Tiny) Bean, Michelle Mallory, Pamela Skinner; cousins, great-nieces and nephews, and other family members too numerous to name.
