The homegoing service for Olive Dorothy Loraine Layne; daughter of the late Richard “Dicky” and the late Loraine Steede (nee Postlewaite), cherished mother of Cyril (Kenlene) Steede: adored grandmother of Moses Steede and the late Tumaini Steede in her 89th year of 2 Foot Hills Road Devonshire will be held at First Church of God, #1 FirstLane Pembroke on Saturday, June 7th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow the service in St. Peter’s Cemetary St. George. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at Augustus Funeral Home, 5 Elliott Street Hamilton on Friday June 6th 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Olive was also survived by her loving sisters Rose Simons, the late Gwendolyn Todd; brother the late Winslow Wales; father-in-law the late Thomas Layne; mother-in-law the late Marie (Maggie) Layne; nieces Trina and Tamika Todd; nephew Craig Smith; great nephew Shiloh Todd; great niece Marley Todd; great great niece Milani Chery; brothers-in-law the late Reginald Todd, the late Charles Simons and the late Winslow Edmead; Special friends Enid Whitter, Tina King, Elaine King, Karen Cross (Essie), Benita Powell, Sandra Davis, Dina Tucker, Belterre Hendrickson, Cheryl O.
