Augustus Funeral Home Regrets to announce the passing of: Mr. Brooke Salah Hassan (aka Rippling Brooke) in his 85th year, formerly of North Shore Pembroke. Brooke Transitioned Peacefully back to his Home with God (his Maker – as he typically affirmed) on Thursday July 16, 2026. And he is now in the Presence of our Heavenly Father, as we have a Confidence in God’s Word “To be absent from the body is to be Present with the Lord.” A Traditional Muslim Service and Burial was held on Sunday July 19, 2026. Brooke leaves to Cherish his memory Children: Marvin, Fatima, Felicia and Brooke Hassan; Mother of Children: Sylvia HassanSiblings: Rance ‘Buddy’ Williams (Ann), Shukri Ali, Elvin Thomas, and Irving Thomas; Grandchildren: Jason, Elijah, Andre, Corey, Joshua, Dwayne and Andreena; Great Grandchildren: Aubrey, Jonah, Aayden, and Amor; nephews and nieces: Troy, Jamel, Michelle, Malodie, Marita, Erica, Karen, Virtina, Irving Jr., Michael and Safiya; Special Family Friend: Chaunette Daniels; Good Friends: The Muslim Brothers and Sisters Community and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention. Brooke was Predeceased by the following family members: Wife: Carrie Bascome-Hassan, Parents: Edward ‘Polly’ Smith and Adeline Thomas. Children: Jennifer Steede, Barabara-Rose Crossdale (nee Raynor), Brandon, Mark and Jay Thomas (Mother of sons: Sylvia Hassan); Siblings: Eric Peterson, Eddie Bean, Reverend Ronald ‘Ronnie’ Smith and Grandchild: Kareem. We the Family would like to extend our Heartfelt Gratitude and Love to Andrea’ Bean, Lisa DePont, Zionnae Robinson, the Doctors, Nurses, Nursing Assistants and the rest of the Staff of the KEMH Perry Ward. We profoundly appreciate all the Loving-Care, Concern, Compassion and Kindness given and shown towards our Beloved Brooke during his season there. Mere Words cannot express how Truly Grateful we are to you all! We Pray that God will in turn Richly Bless all your lives ‘One Hundred-Fold’, according to His Way, His Will and His Word; for the Service you provided to him and continue to provide to others now and in the future!
