Cleta Glenora Astwood

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our cherished wife and mom, CCleta Glenora Astwood nee Price, at the age of 90, loving wife of Quinton Astwood, devoted mother of KarmetaHendrickson (Kevin) and Kelly Hodsoll (Calvin Richardson), beloved grandmother of Joanna and Jasmine Hendrickson, and Kyra and Krystal Hodsoll, of 8 Astwood Close Woodlands Road Pembroke, formerly of 5 Anchorage View Lane St. George’s. She passed away peacefully on November 14th, 2025. Her kindness, warmth and love touched the lives of many. A viewing will be held Today, November 24th at Augustus Funeral Home from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  The service will be held at St. John’s Church, Pembroke on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Pembroke Parish Graveyard. Cleta is also survived by nephews and nieces: James Howard (Marisa), Kavin Howard (Kim), Karen Mallory (Preston) and Georgette Howard, Safiya, Shane and Toni-lea Curtis; Craig and Voorhees Astwood, Kim Bell, Stacy Trott (Winston), Kauliss Lanthier (Kevin); cousins: Shirley D. Simmons and Ruby Simmons; godchildren: Roxanne Bassett, Michael Morris (Gina), and Michelle Engelfeld(Klaus); friends: Deanna Durham, Natalie Morris, Wilma Yearwood, and Olive Benjamin, the Grace Rejuvenation Centre family, and numerous other friends and relatives. Cleta was predeceased by her mother: Alma Price Symonds; grandmother: Nora Edwards;godmother: Leonora Trott; siblings: Claudine Curtis, Vincent Price and Elaine Howard; nephew:Richard Howard, and great aunt: Iris Simmons.
